Piłkarze akademii nie zapomnieli o zasłużonych widzewiakach

Dziś i jutro masowo udajemy się na cmentarze, gdzie odwiedzamy miejsca pochówku naszych bliskich. O zasłużonych widzewiakach nie zapomnieli z kolei młodzi piłkarze łódzkiego klubu, którzy uczestniczyli w akcji sprzątania ich grobów.
Jak czytamy na widzew.com, zawodnicy Akademii Widzewa udali się we wtorek na Cmentarz Komunalny na Zarzewie. Tam, wspomagani przez swoich trenerów, pracowników klubu i przedstawicieli OSK „Tylko Widzew”, odnaleźli groby m.in. Mieczysława Kotarskiego, Krzysztofa Surlita czy Ludwika Sobolewskiego. Najpierw zapoznali się historią tych zasłużonych reprezentantów Widzewa, a później wyczyścili nagrobki i zapalili znicze w czerwono-biało-czerwonych barwach.
Akcja zorganizowana została przez klub, we współpracy z OSK „Tylko Widzew”. „Spotkaliśmy się, żeby uczcić pamięć zmarłych widzewiaków. Chcieliśmy pokazać zawodnikom, jak różni ludzie byli związani z klubem i jego sekcjami, przybliżyć im też ich sylwetki, by wiedzieli czyj grób sprzątają. To dla nas element wychowania młodych piłkarzy, uczenie ich tradycji i historii klubu” – powiedział dyrektor akademii Maciej Szymański.
W poszukiwaniu nagrobków młodym graczom pomagała Widzewska Mapa Pamięci, którą znaleźć można W TYM MIEJSCU. Warto podczas wizyty na cmentarzu również z niej skorzystać i nie zapominać o zasłużonych dla Widzewa postaciach!
